Sunflowers...

   were chosen as a symbol to represent all the people you give of themselves everyday to help others. Sunflowers, (like love and kindness) can grow almost anywhere and endure all kinds of adversity.

Day after day, these special flowers faithfully track the sun, always looking towards the Light for guidance. Then, when the blossom fades and the stalk bends low, they give us their seeds...a reminder that they are not really gone, but instead transformed into hundred of tiny bits of new life and hope. A reminder to us that love and kindness live on in the hearts and minds of those whose lives we touch.
