Brevard Alzheimer's Foundation (B.A.F.I)
To help those with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders remain in their homes and in the community by assisting caregivers through respite, education and support services. The Brevard Alzheimer's Foundation is dedicated to honoring and caring for everyone who crosses our threshold with dignity, compassion and respect.

Key programs funded by United Way of Brevard County:

  • Adult Day Care - (5-day) facilities in Melbourne, Rockledge, Micco and Titusville take personalized approach to caring for club members and caregivers. Under direction of qualified staff and trained volunteers, members enjoy socialization and therapeutic activities. Partial funding and limited transportation available for qualified applicants. Daily fee is $38.50.
  • Project RELIEF - "Respite for Elders Living in Everyday Families" Trains people aged 18+ to provide in-home respite to functionally-impaired seniors aged 60+. Free

The mission of the Alzheimer's Association is to provide caring support and education for persons affected by Alzheimer's Disease, including patients, families or health care providers.

East Central Florida Memory Disorder Clinic (ECFMDC)
ECFMDC is a non-profit agency funded primarily through the Alzheimer's Disease Initiative of the State of Florida Department of Elder Affairs for the purpose of providing services for individuals in the community who are concerned about memory lost or other cognitive impairment.

Services:

Memory Evaluations, Case Management/Social Work, Caregiver Wellness Program, Caregiver Education, Counseling, Neuropsychological Assessment, Professional In-service Training, Research Programs, Speakers available for your group/organization, Information, Referrals, & Assistance, Support Groups.
